I'm pretty sure it's an 020 judging by size and the conical glow plug nipple, but never seen one with the red plastic backplate.
I presume it originally came with a model of some sort.
Are they interesting/collectable/valuable?

AW Heck, they are ALL interesting,valuable and collectable! The red  horseshoe backplate was used on the ST Ryan and one other, I think. What is this(020) cox engine? Scree133

Thanks! I'd seen the second pic, but the needles top is bigger and I didn't know what the back looked like.
