Tee Dee .049 remote needle valve?

Tee Dee .049 remote needle valve?
I hate putting my fingers near a propeller.
Any ideas on how I can "move" the needle valve further back, please?
Dean.

Re: Tee Dee .049 remote needle valve?
The sheath end of a hollow medical needle fits on the recessed knob of the TeeDee needle valve. Set the needle valve in an angle so that the knob end points away from the prop. The sheath is an extender. You do not need to leave it on when the engine is airborne, just use it when you set the carb on the ground. I use it on even the smallest 010 and it works well on 051-s too.

Thanks Levent,
I became wiser after a few scarred, cut and bruised fingers while tuning the carbs of mainly 010-s, but thanks to COX, all needle valves in the 010-051 (maybe even higher) range have the same knobs that fit the same sheath of the hollow needle.

Once you get your next Covid jab, Eric, you have to beg the nurse for a toy to compensate the pain she caused you..she will give you the hollow needle sheath for sure...

That’s a really good idea
I have some not sharp needles that have covers and came with the syringes I bought for fuel.
Well it works, I just tried it. Nice

Re: Tee Dee .049 remote needle valve?
I was searching for an adaptor to put 2mm fuel tube onto a syringe test tank the other day, and found a bloody great horse needle that my vet friend gave me with a collection of handy syringes.
It was a tight fit in it's cover, I pulled it hard, then when it parted for some reason I jerked my hands back together, discovering exactly why they are called "sharps" - a 2mm circular hole in my first finger, I don't know how deep but it bleed non stop for 1/2 hour
At least it was sterile!
Will make a good adaptor when I cut the pointy end off, I'm not doing that again!
Nice "tip" (
) though, thanks for that, I'm trying it.
