What HAVE I bought now! Gassers this time...
I'm unsure what these are, probably should not have bought them!
The bigger one on the wood mount is a Quadra I believe, the other two I have no idea - possibly they are also Quadras?
Similar magnetos, similar walbro carbs. I think they are marked 32 and 28, but nothing else I can spot.
Note the obligatory cox 049 - There is literally one in every job lot, I'm overrun.
It will actually run as is!
They always do!

Cheers!

I guess they are Quadra's. Durable, powerful vibrate like crazy and are butt ugly. They have a similar cadence to a 2 cycle chainsaw.
But they work fine as a reliable power plant.
And I'm sure the price couldn't be beat.

Indeed! I dropped some 2 stroke mix from my chainsaw into the carb of the one on the wood mount, and yes, it ran and sounded just like the saw!

Old weed eater engine perhaps. I had quite a few over the years. Why the .049? Yard sale buy?

No, I think these are big aero engines by design, although the quadra does have a chainsaw heritage, apparently.
I don't think the other two are quadras now, but happy to be corrected on this!

EVERY job lot has a Cox in it! At least every one I buy does, it seems.
I really do need to get rid of some, it's getting stupid now

Yes two of the engine in this lots look like 100% aero engine made for plane tink
look at the magnéto on the biger one on the woden block is Not a plane engine it must have ben converted look at The prop drive custom made in this one This does not make it a less good engine, surely efficient but heavier the other two Not sur of the model posible convertion ??
