Restored Prop Rod
Not exactly to factory.
As received:

Worst damage was internal, both rear pan mounting posts were broken. JB Weld fixed one, but it took one of Jason's replacements to fix the other. Cut it to fit and tapped it 6X32 before cementing it to the body using the machine screw through the pan as a guide then applied cement to the body and dropped the pan with the post on and hoped. Got lucky.

Blue pod is a work in progress. I used 800 grit wet to remove the paint splatters, tried 91% alcohol and Easy Off oven cleaner to no avail. 1000 and 3000 grit to go.

Your repair based on the original idea is very good better than the previous user now should be very solid I'm sure the final look will be great and the repair barely visible

Thanks David, I glued it in with Canopy Cement ("sticks anything to anything"). Tried to pull it out with my fingers and couldn't.
I did get a set of those Friskies Flyer decals but think I will save them for blue pod.
