Re: wanted - cardboard box or repops
If you can print them yourself, we have high quality scans of the red/black Cox box and inserts for various engines. https://www.coxengineforum.com/h24-instruction-sheets#box_inserts
Levent Suberk also has a few really nice reproductions of some early engine packaging inserts:

Yes, the boxes are easy to flatten and ”unflatten” without damage. Just pull out the inner card first. That’s how I store most of my boxes
I don’t have any use for them, but the postage from here would probably kill the deal. Plus mine are not perfect either.

Re: wanted - cardboard box or repops
spent some time in the basement last night with glue, clamps, brushes, and cardboard,
teaching myself how to rebuild boxes, with guidance and inspiration from Bob's posts.
soon? I may have another arcane and useless skill!

The postage as a letter is probably about $10...$20. I'll see what I have. Need to do some sort of inventory anyway

Re: wanted - cardboard box or repops
please keep me informed. I'm interested.
I spent last night gluing, clamping, etc, and I am probably fully addicted now.
mine will never look as good as RSV Bob's, but? its an interesting side note and new skill to learn
I also collect old Victor Stanzel Electromic planes, copters, toys. with 2 or 3 boxes that COULD be better, with cereal box inlays and cleaning for displays.....

Re: wanted - cardboard box or repops
thank you Kim! for helping me dive down this rabbit hole. the boxes arrived.
and thank you (I think) RSV Bob! for introducing me to the concept of restoring boxes.
I've been watching youtube videos, learning that lighter fluid is a great cleaning agent for old tape, ironing, proper taping, etc. etc...
i have 2 Stanzel Electromic boxes in the resto shop right now, will post pix when they are done, and will rework some of my cox boxes too!
when I should be building and flying planes...

Re: wanted - cardboard box or repops
boxes!
the two Kim Boxes are done with Black Widows mounted in em.
the Stanzels are coming along.
Thanks Bob! I'm addicted. I now own museum quality pressure sensitive linen hanging tape that mends well, a new iron for flattening, and discovered lighter fluid does a great job at removing old scotch tape. I also have a roll of cellophane and double sided tape to remount it... ugh! But fun!
