My collection ; updated
Here is my collection almost entirely hanging on the walls. I still have 5-6 planes to install. One is a green Stuka I bought it from a nice guy, John, from Buffalo NY area
Collections started 3 years ago I think.
I have more than 55 airplanes mostly Cox, fews Testors, fews Wen Mac and two Comets and one Aurora.
I have a lots of Coxx ad Wen-Mac engines
And it is not finished !
Most of the boxes were built (or from the bottom of existing boxes) to accommodate the aircraft imitating somewhat the original boxes.

Those are rare. Probably bought by Wards as part of a large reduced price per item contract. I have a Wen Mac Camel Bi-plane boxed the same way. Mail orders maybe.

One model I am particularly happy to be able to buy at a very reasonable price is this Curtis A-25 Dive Bomber in excellent condition with the complete original box.
it is not yet exposed on my wall.

There is also, in blue, this very rare Wen Mac and this brand new Testors biplane, it has never flown nor had its engine started with all the candys in the box.

The FW 190 control line is a Gillow's balsa model mounted with a large engine, a McCoy.19 . It could just as easily be mounted with a Cox Pee-Wee 020 according to the assembly drawings.
I bought it all assembled because the model is really beautiful. It would never fly.

That must be a Guillows model because you say it is. Dimentions look right. But if it truely is, that's the most beautiful and best put together Guillows that I have ever seen. Three-line control line and a .19 McCoy sitting up front took some major internal engineering. The sheeting alone is incredible.
Later.................Edit:
Ok, that must have impressed me. Went to the net and did some research. Guillows made them in two different sizes a 16 1/2" wingspread and a 26 inch. The Stuka W/S is 25, so it has to be the larger model. Went to ebay and found three all NIB. Bought the cheapest one right here in West Virginia from a fellow that I have bought from before.
Now, who is going to assemble and paint for me?

I have all the paper from the builder who sell me the plane; Gillow's building sheets.
It is so nice ,I could not resist to buy it.

Good luck , IMO it will cost you lots of money.
I think I pay mine little more than $100 . All built.
No engine !

Yes, but not to worry, the kids will not go hungry.

In fact, I bought another NIB in case I want to keep one in the wrap and build one. Then I found another open box and got that too. Early example.

Fills a need, about the only aircraft that I have deep respect and admiration for that I don't have.

Ask to a hobby shop in your area if they can built for you, or know a customer who can built for you.

Thanks, I could do the airframe but I could never cover and paint to any standard. Maybe my son, he's quite talented in that regard.

I just bought on E-Bay the first and only Cox airplane I owned when I was young. A Shinn.
It was the cheapest in the 60's, $11.95 cnd. ( $121.00 in 2022 money) .
The Stuka and Pt-19 and Spitfire were around $15.95. ( $151.00 in 2022 silver) Too expensive for the 14 year old. This plane would be very rare having been produced for only 1 year if I am not mistaken.
I've been looking for it for a long time. It's not a very nice model but it represents good memories for me.
Do you know this model?
