[quote="rdw777"]Shoot Bob, I found that Taifun last nite but you beat me to the post
LOL!!!

Thanks Robert, nicely constructed engine only marred but the PO's tool marks on the cylinder and drive washer. The compression King of my collection. Regrettably I don't do it justice having little experience with diesels.

Great....restored my faith in the CEF, well 1/32nd of it - you and roddie.
#1 - You nailed it. I thought everyone would chime in on it. Lot's of buzz here when Bernie offered them. I made up a couple. This one thick wall cylinder with a thin straight nose non-grooved case and a plastic back plate.
#2 - Third release Wen Mac .049 with a natural copper case. Quite rare, found on ebay. I posted about it and Mark Boesen mentioned that he had bid on it also. So, after a year or two I sent it to him. Got to missing it so I found this one also on ebay.
#3 - You nailed this one also (In red text)
#4 - Ditto HB .15 with a Perry carburator. Interesting triangle HB script logo.
#5 - Taifun .15 Hurrikan (Made in Germany)
#6 - Fuji .35
#7 - roddie
#8 - Aurora (K&B) .049. They also offered a .061
#9 - Dual stack. Something of a mystery only marked Fury in a nicely raised script.
#10 - Wen Mac .049 with exhaust baffle and pull string starter.
Ahh, now I get it. I thought the logo on #3 was a "V" but it's actually a "TT". (Thunder Tiger). I should have got that. I actually have a TT.15 but it's an OS clone rather than Enya, and has wording on the side rather than a logo. I probably should also have got the Taifun diesel. I have a heap of diesels but not a Taifun. Need to extend my research time!
Glad I could help restore your faith in us Bob. Sometimes things tend to wander away from the main aim of the forum and I lose interest. Just trying to keep it on track. Actually I haven't touched an engine for about a year, but I still like talking to you guys about them.

Re: Car smart - Quiz
You took me to school on my own engine Rod. I couldn't figure out the logo either. But yes the V is two slanted T's. So glad that you picked up on that.
I actually love that engine. It was an abused ball of goo when I got it. As I remember it was part of several, a group buy. But it soon outshined the others cleaning up into a gem. Nicely factory finished with great compression. Came without a NVA, Enya provided a replacement. I haven't ran it, don't need to, enjoyed as is.
