Re: Chain saws - Cox made them - and the "Silver Bullet"
Hi rsv1cox,
Thanks for sharing this Cox history with us...
I like the piston/beefy conrod... !
My guess is Leroy bushed the top end to match the hollow wristpin !
State of the Art, back then !
Speaking of Art,
Do you have any 'Chainsaw Artists' in your area?
Amazing to see.
Noise, chips flying, and something emerges from the wood...
Flame thrower finish, wire brush, varnish mix. Done.
I am a 'Branch Manager' as far as woodcutting goes.
Bow saw and load the truck !
Take care,
Have fun,
Dave

Thanks Dave, at least one...............

Presently for sale on ebay $640.00 OBO.
In addition to wood, chainsaws are used to create ice sculptures. Competitions are held each year somewhere in Wisconsin if my recall is correct.

Hi rsv1cox,
This is the chainsaw pro I've met:
https://www.harvesthastings.ca/listing/levi-caya/
Highly competetive, amazing contests. Thrilling to watch. Fantastic results. Worldwide.
Sponsored by Stihl these days, I think.
They would love seeing a Cox chainsaw !
Take care,
Have fun,
Dave

Levent;
If I may, one change. The spark plug gap cannot be .625 in. (16mm) This should read .025 in. (0.6mm).

Right. I wrote .625 instead of .025. Corrected, thanks.

This is the best shot of the Beaver sticker I could find poking around online.

Levent, that is the best reproduction ever of the aluminum logo and starting instructions I have ever seen, indistinguishable from the originals.

Already cut two from 0.5 mm aluminum sheet. Ready to apply.
Thanks Levent, with my shaking hands I can sure make a mess cutting out circles or anything for that matter. I can cut down a tree or hammer a nail, but at fine work I'm a lost puppy.

Wow, those are great Levent. You need to toss some of those on eBay and make some

I am going to cut two stickers more from silver sheet. If you want then I can cut all of these.
By the way you are very active and strong one in that age.
