Wittner Taktell Super Mini
.................................... You were expecting a model-engine maybe? sorry.............. This posting is in "Off Topic".. so it wasn't gonna be a model-engine.
The device is a called a metronome. This model is spring-wound via a small key.. and its "click-sound" can be adjusted for speed in clicks (beats) per minute for keeping a steady rhythm.. as in making music.
My Grandfather (my mom's dad..) gave me his. He played saxophone in earlier years. His metronome came from the "Rayburn Music Co." Huntington Ave. Boston, MA.
I took some photos of it today.. and thought I'd share. CEF's GHostler (Hi George) is a sax player.. and I thought that he might relate to this.
An elegant piece of fine mechanical craftsmanship from a bygone era.. replaced by the electronic age of circuitry.
