About the same time, I also found a NIB .020 muffler assembly. “Hmmm,” I thought, “I also have an aluminum .049 tank extension collecting dust somewhere on the premises.” I decided it might be cool to try and assemble nearly identical engines; one an .020 and the other an .049. I cleaned and polished the parts and sent them Mark Boesen for anodizing. He nailed the color I wanted and sent them back post-haste. The result was two engines that I think turned out okay. I have no intention to run the engines. These were more for show and fun. Besides, except for the extensions, they’re just stock engines.

Re: Lean Green Cox Machine
Hey Indra, Fit90 said you knew of a way to restore compression? MY Fuji .099 is lacking in that department.

na, my peewee seems to have good comp, but i have never turned of a new peewee before so i could be wrong, i am just looking for a couple sets as a kind of insurence. That way when the current cylinder/piston finally wairs out i have others to keep me flying

Re: Lean Green Cox Machine
It really shouldn't lose compression for a wile.

Re: Lean Green Cox Machine
Some claim the method doesn't work.
Heat the piston in a kiln then let it cool in air.
Some also do this then rapidly cool it in used motor oil.
Once this is done the piston will be very slightly larger.
Put it back in the cylinder with toothpaste and a suitable oil.
turn the engine over until it feels smoother than at first pr until it feel smooth enough to you.
This is a method I use and am NOT claiming it will definitely work for you.

They just last long on good fuel if you treat them well.
