Weird search for a single comic from an old Mad Magazine
So, I figured that the most likely success of a goofy search might come by way of this eclectic bunch who occasionally wonder about similar stuff.
For YEARS, I've searched for a two frame comic from an old Mad Magazine I had as a kid. In it's top frame, a kid from the 1940's or 50's has built a stick and tissue model airplane, and proudly suspended it from the ceiling of his room. I remember it as a rather crappy rendition of a de Havilland DH-4.
The lower frame shows a bored kid from the 1960's with several snap-together models---his dog is building one---that requires no skill to complete.
The theme is that, though the first kid's creation may not be very impressive, the work is actually his, while the other kid, with no challenge to building skill, is bored with a hobby that also bores his dog. I thought this comment on instant gratification to be interesting, coming from that time.
I THINK this was from a late 1960's or early 70's issue of Mad...the few I had were second-hand, most without covers.
If any of you similarly afflicted types might remember this or, miracle of miracles may HAVE this issue, I just need to know the date so I could search Ebay for a copy.
Anyway, thank you for your consideration, and I shall now go on to worry myself about other weird stuff!

Have you poked through the Internet Archive yet?
https://archive.org/details/@r3ini3r
https://archive.org/details/@plugh?and%5B%5D=subject%3A%22MAD+Magazine%22
These things typically get pulled down sooner or later by the copyright police, so if you see something you like, better download it or take a screen shot.
