The Cox labeled .010
Got it today. Fast shipper.
"Partially broken in. Won't yet rev up high. Has two head gaskets installed."
Somebody was trying something. Complete and in as new condition but locked up. I'm not sure what the spare black machine screw is. Prop or back plate extra maybe. I think a little MMO in each port will free it up. I do not like disassembling these.
I have others stuck in here someplace. I think I sold my originals, one as a parts engine as I had twisted the cylinder playing around with it. That was 35+ years ago and I'm still recovering. I know these have a following here. Andras and Mauricio for a couple.

Dear Roberto, congratulations on your purchase...it really is a beautiful engine, it has incredible power for its size...I hope you enjoy it a lot.
I have these engines, I allowed myself to make the throttle ring for two of them and both work excellently. It is the first engine that complies exactly with what the manual says, its 27000 rpm, verified!
I am happy that you have this engine in your hands!

Yes, Bob, I can second to Mauricio, these 010-s are engineering marvels. I keep 3 of them in service and they get better the more you use them. And a few more still waiting to be used.
15ccm fuel in the unpressurized balloon tank will keep them scream for 11 minutes.
They run consistently near 27k if the fuel is clean and has the 30% nitro in it, and the stock prop is well balanced. They can be capricious if one of the above points are not met, but as tiny as they are, they need and deserve the extra attention.

Re: The Cox labeled .010
Thanks for the comments Mauricio and Andras, well noted here.
I heard from the seller in response to my question:
"It was my Dad's. His love of model airplanes began when he was in high school in Kansas. I have so many of his engines and I'm slowly going through them. He was meticulous and it's nice to see his handwriting with some of them. I'm glad that his engines are going to people in the model airplane community who appreciate them."

Congratulations on the .010 Bob, One of Cox’s best feats of engineering that was mass produced….. A touching note from the seller as well…… Going to a good home….I have one of the little jewels and enjoy running it every once and awhile….. One of these days I’ll build a small R/C for it….

Glad to see that you have power Eric. Debby hit North and South Carolina hard. I lost power about 4am, just got it back, but not without grief..............
Had to take out a live tree not one of my dead ones...........
