Thanks!...yes, I also like the Norvel engine a lot. I have good experiences, a very light, powerful and reliable engine. Surely this model will go hand in hand with the .074!...we'll see!

Brad, I'm waiting to be able to make some purchases abroad when government regulations allow me to, in the meantime I have some questions for you and I'm grateful, so:
Glow Plug Turbo for .074:
1) Can you post detailed photos of the original Norvel glow plug turbo holder? Maybe at some point I can make one with my lathe and test the result.
2) Do you have a comparative data between??:
a)Norvel traditional glow plug .074
b)Norvel glow plug Turvo .074
c)Kamtechnik Turbo Head .074
I don't intend to create controversy, just take note and learn from it, thanks!

Hi can reference my post on pg. 1, shows photos and data:
Kamtechnik Turbo Plug adapter test APC 6x4E
19,864 rpm / 23.3oz thrust / .292hp - 214w / 75.2 mph pitch speed
+1,211 rpm more power than the stock Norvel plug.
Vs
Norvel Turbo Plug / APC 6x4E
18,653 rpm / 21oz thrust / .242hp - 181w / 71 mph
Also, here is the radial mount:

Yes Brad, I have seen the Norvel accessory, I just wanted to see it in different positions without the internal glow plug, I think that accessory is not that complicated to make. Thanks again!

Thank you very much Eric, yes, the radio equipment is incorporated from the bottom, that is, the wing is removed and you already have the onboard equipment at hand.
The liquid you see being applied with the brush is dope, the one used in aeronautics and aeromodelling to cover fabric or paper.

Re: Duende V model from RC Model magazine 1983.
Thanks Andras!
Thanks Levent!
Thanks Roddie! I'm already getting better. I've been three weeks since surgery. I'm wearing a patch on my butt that I take off three times a day until the wound (fistula) has finished draining. The doctor says it will take about 35 days to fully recover, but I think this time is the final one!
I have to recover, wait for it to heal properly and get back on my bike. In this 2-year period, I've gained about 6 kilograms again! So I have to start exercising again! Haha.
Thanks Levent!

Re: Duende V model from RC Model magazine 1983.
Friends, in RC Model magazine, the author of the article says:
"Probably the beauty of its line is due to that mix between airplane and glider."
In my opinion I agree with the author, this model is really beautiful, then I remembered the beautiful Sportavia model by Cox, which has a wingspan of 1780 mm, that is, about 70 inches.
Could someone tell me how long the fuselage of the Sportavia is? I am working on the wing of my Duende V. I could make another set of wings and take it to 70 inches, if the length of the fuselage coincides in some way with that of the Sportavia. I could also do a calculation and achieve a motor-glider ratio using the fuselage.
I would be grateful if anyone could give me the data on the length of the fuselage of the Sportavia!...thanks!

Hola Mauricio!!! Your video shows fine craftsmanship and engineering….Many custom made parts that would not be available any other way…. Excellent hand skills along with the use of technology

Thanks Eric, always so kind!
Look, I made a scale, I'm not precise in the photo, but I can roughly calculate it.
I compared the Cox cone holder, in the photo
The Cox cylinder in the photo.
All the calculation gives me an average length of 710 mm, that is to say about 28 inches, am I right?

Re: Duende V model from RC Model magazine 1983.
Here I go with the Duende's half-wings.
Before continuing to cut ailerons and join half-wings, I share a detail of them.
Created from arc cuts of nicron wire, electric source, the styrofoam cores are plated in 1.5 mm thick balsa.
As a detail, the entire trailing edge has a finish (for personal taste, not listed in the magazine), with dope and Silkspan paper, this gives real strength to the entire edge since it is very thin. The upper plating joins with the lower without Spars.
Looking at the wing profile, it seems to be the NACA 2412, the author of the design does not clarify it, but by the shape I think I bet on that wing profile.
Technical Data, (source WIKI), NACA 2412 Profile: The NACA 2412 aerodynamic profile is an asymmetric profile that is used in aviation and aerospace applications. It is characterized by its good aerodynamic performance in a wide variety of flight conditions.
Each wing weighs only 65 grams, which makes me think that the model will have very good performance.
