Loved that!!! Good to see some C/L action too! Did he insist on using his stooge? It made me nervous when the ring's nose was creeping-in before he pulled the pin..
Man..... I could almost feel that wind.. and it wasn't kind to any glitches either..
"Problem Child" seemed to fly well though. It was fun to see you reporting from the warm-insides of the van beforehand. Your MCP (Mobile Command Post).. gotta' love that!
.... then when I saw that Crock Pot in your clubhouse... it reminded me of the stew I made last week.. mmMMM!!!
A very close 2nd place to Lynne's TG-Day effort.
What was in your pot?

When I worked in an office, had strange things happen with the software and systems. Used same reason you stated and humorously and embarrassingly was believed by others as lying.Kim wrote:For whatever reason...and I ain't asking why...my video editing program started working again!
One thing they couldn't accuse me of was being unproductive.
That was 12 years ago.
You folks had a blast there, wish I could have been with you all!

A great show Kim! I enjoyed all the flights. Chilly........"Bundled Up" would be an understatement. C/L Ringmaster flyer looked like he really knows his business. Warm soup and cider a plus. I wish I had been there.

Thank you Roddie!!
Yes, Allen is ferociously independent. Like me, he does a lot of flying by himself, and has a long-time system to get his plane in the air. That blast of wind nearly stood the Ringmaster on its nose on takeoff, but he pulled it off.
Problem Child did OK, and the extra weight from its GoPros seem to help, though I DID make the beginners' mistake of nearly stall / spinning it in a couple times on downwind to landing.
As we all know, ground speed means nothing. All the plane cares about is the air that's moving over its wings, and when it's going like a rocket downwind, the illusion of excess speed can fool you into into letting it slow down. Here is where the GoPros are NOT your friend, increasing the chance of a snap if you don't stay fast and coordinated. But the battered Cub survived.
President Brian's wonderful wife, Becky, filled up the pot with fantastic (and hot) chicken noodle soup, which was totally devoured. Billy made up some of his famous apple cider in the coffee pot.
Just a great bunch of people.

Thanks Bob!
It would have been wonderful to have you with us, along the like-minded crew here! Allen is a serious flyer, and competed in novice class at the Nats a couple years ago. He has also made the run to the Brodak shindig at least once (an item on my bucket list ).

As always, my friend Kim, a wonderful report... I always follow all your posts.
It seems that the weather was somewhat hostile, but the aeromodeling spirit prevailed at all times.
I agree with the boys' comments, I also want to be there!

Mauricio !!!!!
Thank you for your note!
Yes, it was cold and windy, but also allowed us some of the fun we had as kids where we would half-freeze ourselves, then run inside to warm up, only to return to our outside fun for another round!
Only those who have "been there" might understand!
Take Care, My Friend!!!!!!!!!!
