Doesn’t register on my gram scale…..A Loco project…
Amen to that Robert. Maybe I should be saving my balsa dust.

Re: Tiny Glider
Hi rdw777,
Beautiful Project !
I have used my sharp Jack Plane to rip 1/32 X 1/8th in thick balsa laminating strips for gluing up curved stuff...
This is well, well beyond, what I can do.
To get balsa that thin ?
Is amazing.
You need that much nose weight...
Just to keep that balsa,
On the ground...
Take care,
Have fun,
Dave

Re: Tiny Glider
Very nice featherweight airplane, Robert..must be gliding very far, probably much lighter than the paper airplanes we used to fold back in the eay?

Re: Tiny Glider
I think that’s a good name for it Eric, Scrap Wood Glider …. it only glides across a room in the house for now Andras…. Maybe a little further when we get a pretty day…. It’s light but doesn’t have much wing either so it glides pretty fast…. Mostly just a novelty built on a whim

Re: Tiny Glider
I have seen a low speed fan used to create slope lift for constant stationary flight.
Perhaps you can rig up a mini slope to enjoy the gliders abilities. Can also deploy
a small heater for extra lift. There are some vids on youtube to include micro 2ch
slope flying indoors using a fan for the lift zone. Flying fun indoors during winter.
Can also try indoor whip flying or CL with a small motor / speed controller.
