the social is certainly a topic ... a club brings people together, but not necessarily unites them, in the same club these people, not all feel the same for the activity, many only go because they are entertained with social and conversations that has nothing to do with the activity ... in my case, I have many friends throughout my country, there was a time when many clubs could go, today, my work and my schedules do not happen.
I now have other schedules with respect to the majority, but that does at the same time, that I can enjoy fully and with the senerity that I need to feel good. I enjoy the social, but lately I enjoy much more the connection of my hobby with the nature of my environment ... peace and well-being ... it's priceless! Thumbs Up

I don't know if you work in public relations or not Mauricio, if not you should.

Those two paragraphs contain a lot of wisdom.

Currently, I am in charge of my own retail business, I have permanent contact with clients ... the subject is quite dynamic and you have to be very temperate and patient)
In my beginnings I worked for 25 years in the aluminum industry (aluminum alloys and manufacture of aluminum parts), which made me relate to many people ... again the same thing, you have to have sanity and patience ... fundamental tools ...

And the electric flyers is quite a different bunch...not so much into IC engines and enjoying the hobby much less to its depths of bruised and greasy fingers and half-deaf ears... Very Happy

Friend András, I understand perfectly ... many times, on some occasions, I think that the heaviest load that a model carries, are all the unfounded opinions of people who think - say without knowledge or do not love what they do ... I think which is clear
I accompany you from here dear friend ...!Thumbs Up

Thanks for the empathy my friend Mauricio...by the way I also have been working for 35 years for a company that buys and processes thousands of tons of aluminum semi finished products (coils and tubes as well as cold drawn alloy profiles) annually for its air-cooled heat exchangers used in huge cooling towers built for power plants... Very Happy

Just in case someone with a deep pocket is interested in a genuine Roaring 20 :https://www.ebay.com/itm/21-ROARING-20-Balsa-Model-Plane-Airplane-Kit-RC-FF-010-020-024-TOP-FLITE-RC5/233143292678?hash=item36486c5306:g:uAoAAOSwKwBbCFUG

I  bought mine at around 38.5  bucks plus shipping from Earlyrcmodels 9 years ago..they are no longer in business...this one goes for near 350 USSD...

Just in case you are interested in how COX stuff flies in Eastern Europe (the same as it does accross the big pond, anyway...) I have uploaded 2 videos on youtube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HyXYuogiKLE&feature=youtu.be and at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z1k8YTLegTo&feature=youtu.be shot on a Samsung smartphone (sorry for the unedited quality).

This is my 2nd Roaring 20 Early RC model that I have reconstructed from the original plans after my first one was lost due to a loose radio receiver  power cable...never recovered from the swamp behind the airfield in the outskirts of Budapest, Hungary..my heart was bleeding especially for the Tee Dee 010 that powered the lost one, having performed 50+ flight hours with original compression and balljoint clearence in the engine...nevertheless I have several new Tee Dee 010-s I purchased on ebay so it took me no time to remake the lost one in less than 2 days (after returning from the office and smearing CA glue on the kitchen table that my wife will perhaps someday forgive me....) and this new Tee Dee 010 is just the same sort of micro-devil with lots of power despite the decades it has been waiting for me on the shelf of a US ebayer...boy, ain't it fun??????? .

What a great flying plane and strong engine run...!
I will take a look at the Roaring 20s plan.

I built mine 51 years ago, powering it with the similar in power Cox .020 Pee Wee, guided by the lightweight Ace R/C Pulse Commander and Adams Baby Twin magnetic actuator as pure rudder only R/C.

It was my second R/C aircraft, pure fun. It is a miniature of the Ken Willard (K.W.) Top Flite (T/F) Top Dawg. Being smaller (20 in. wingspan) than my 1st, the K.W. T/F R/C Schoolboy (27 in. wingspan - clipped wing version of K.W. Model Airplane News plan), the short coupled wing and elevator made it very aerobatic. It could do all the R/O stunts in the book.

It also flew slightly faster than the Schoolboy. It was an excellent design, plus, the all sheet balsa exterior with 4 coats of clear dope and color trim made it very aerobatic because it is a very lightweight finish.

It and the Sterling Minnie Mambo continue to be my most favorite R/O aircraft, because of their fantastic stuntability.
