Re: TD tach race 2012 (Engines on the way home)
I don't have a grey Cox 5-3 prop. Why not let everyone supply their own prop. That would make testing easy without it having to cost anything. At least in the unlimited class.

Re: TD tach race 2012 (Engines on the way home)
Joe,
The playing field has to be even. So the same prop for all entries has to be used. The only variable is the contestants engine. Fuel, prop and hopefully weather has to be a constant. That way nobody wins based on their own custom prop or super spiked fuel.
In the unlimited class the only rules are there are no rules. With the exception of the constants. Fuel, prop and weather.......
I was game for the prop you offered except nobody could test their engine with it. I can send you a 5x3 if you need one. Just send it back with your entry.
Ron

Re: TD tach race 2012 (Engines on the way home)
The TD tach race is almost upon us. I have had only a couple PM's for my address. I am hoping that's because most of you already know it!
I will be ordering the fuel the week after next and am looking forward to a good turnout. Let's get this party started.

Re: TD tach race 2012 (Engines on the way home)
I have decided to open up another class. I know it's late in the game, but the Medallion deserves some limelight as well.
Exmodelengines is submitting a couple so I would like to open it up for a stock class of medallions .049-.15.
There is still time to submit them. Same fuel and props as the TD's of similar displacement.
Let's Roll!

Re: TD tach race 2012 (Engines on the way home)
I ordered 2 quarts of Sig 25% today. Hopefully it's a nice fresh batch!
I wandered into the LHS here in PA today and they had 4 brand new Cox Rubber duck 7x3.5 props so I grabbed them. The .09's should be well covered.
So Far I have only received engines from Matt at Exmodel. I imagine others will follow along soon.
Looking forward to a good time. I am planning on doing video for the runs so you can all see your engines perform.
