Sorta Sportavia
I don't know if might assist some Cox Sportavia fans in building their own balsa version, but I posted some plans in my album, scanned from an old plan book I've had for a few decades. The plan is for an RF-4 single seat version...you'll see the strong family resemblance!

I too have plans for a fournirer rf 4 I have it for .19 size and it looks really good it looks like it would go great with a paw .19

Kim that's excellent! Is there anyway to buy a set of those prints? What is the wingspan and the size of engine called for? Nice plane!

Hey Jetpack,
I'm afraid that the plan page is all I have. A friend gave me a book of plans back in the 80's which has a lot of my favorite plane kits from the 60's and 70's listed, and this one is apparently from a kit produced in Germany. It doesn't give a specific wingspan...think the engine was in the .15 size range.
I don't know if it would be possible to load it from the album, but if you wanted, I could email you the direct scan of the sheets. I thought it might be possible to enlarge the plan to Cox Sportavia size, and sort of redraw the plans if some of the lines are blurred.
Sorry I don't have any more detail than this, but let me know if you'd like a direct attachment of the plans.

That would be all I need, Kim. I would be able to print what I would need for reference dimensions and be able to get by drawing my own out on the board to build on. Just the ribs I think would be the only thing one would have to play with the scale percent when printed.
Thanks for the offer, it is appreciated. I love that plane and with it being a .15 size to start with is pefect.

Yeah Jetpack...we ought to have you covered on this aircraft! I'll send my copies later today. They're too large a file for my dial-up service!
Later!
