Happy The Trusted Sellers Program

Post  Admin on Fri Sep 21, 2012 1:01 am

I have now activated the Trusted Sellers Program. This program is for those who have successfully sold multiple items to happy buyers! This is the first approach to approving a seller as a "trusted seller" on this forum. All sellers that have a "Trusted Seller" badge can be trusted in the sense that they have a clean record and a long history of happy buyers! Since we do not operate a "secure buyer/seller network", we are not responsible for any issues you may have. It is advised you always proceed with caution!

Joining the Trusted Seller Program
You must apply and be approved before you can belong to this group. You must fit the following:
• Have been a member for at least 3 months
• Have a reputation score of 100 or higher
• Have sold 10 or more items (or lots, not counting the number of items in one "lot") on this forum (not counting your eBay, RCU, RCG or other offsite listings)
• Use PayPal*
• Have never had any unresolved issues from previous sales
• Have never had issues between any of the forum staff (not following rules, being warned, suspended and so on)

*If you don't use PayPal but have successfully sold multiple items to happy buyers without any issues and you also fit the other requirements, apply anyway!

If you fit those requirements above, JOIN NOW!

As this is the first form of seller rating, expect changes to better systems in the future!

Do trades count towards the 10? Is 10 a firm number?

If I trade something to Jason and he trades it to Mitch and Mitch trades it to someone else who then sells it, is that a grand slam? Huh...

Do I need to provide the links to all my transactions? I'm pretty sure I have 10.

Since I'm on here everyday and I read just about every topic, I do know when people sold things. However I can't tell when things go down between PMs. If someone is messing up sales and people are getting scammed, that word usually gets around right away even if I didn't hear about it in a report. If I'm unsure that you met the sales requirements, I'll just ask to see the proof.

Well, rules are rules you know. I don't know if you can be trusted! lol! I suppose I could possibly bend the rules and squeeze you into the group. We'll see!

Not sure if this question has been answered, but when buying and selling, how do I leave feedback for the buyer or seller?
I bought a sweet Pee Wee .020 from microflitedude a few months back and I wanted to leave positive feedback.

Thanks, Smile

That is a fantastic question! lol! Currently, you can not. I have been trying to build a system similar to what RC Groups has. However, I can't actually add programs to the forum because it is ran by forumotion and they do not allow it.

You can leave a message on anyone's profile by clicking on their name and then hitting the tab that says "Visitor messages".

Do a search for "reputation" and you'll find a thread on how you get "points". It's that little + - sign on the margin of your post. Thanks and good luck.

I just gave you one, and your up to 15......

If I may offer a IMHO: I'd bet you'd get more greenies by picturing and posting "for sale" items in the for sale/wanted area, with a picture and asking price of individual items, rather than bulk pictures with a " give me a call, I never home at all, and don't do email." That would eliminate many calls to find out what you have that I want has been sold. That's just me, your mileage may vary. Rolling Eyes

https://www.coxengineforum.com/t3264-the-trusted-sellers-program#45303

You're on the right path to qualifying to join the program. The "Trusted Sellers Program" was created as there currently isn't a feature for members to rate sellers just on their selling/trading performance (like there is on RCG and RCU). A set of requirements was created that when met, should reflect the member as being someone who can be trusted to hold up their end of the deal. If someone isn't yet a "Trusted Seller", that doesn't mean they are a bad seller. If there are reports of anyone scamming, they will be banned (we've had only one situation where this happened, and I'm sure the guys who were around at the time remember it). If a "Trusted Seller" goes south, they get kicked out of the program and depending on the situation possibly banned from the forum (thankfully, we haven't had that happen yet).

When you meet the requirements, go ahead and request to join the group and then PM me the links to all your sold listings.
