I have built several electric planes with various types/brands of foam board with success.

Not so sure about nitro. It would soak up fuel and break down over time if it was not laminated or covered.

It's easy enough to fuel proof. The Osborne platters are foam board. I covered the edges with white wood glue and epoxied the edges around the engine, and painted the rest with Rustoleum. Just like with balsa.

ha,iron ic you say that i just built an osborne platter today,paint Biplane ed it with rustoleum red.turned out good,but id like make somthing airplane shaped if possible,anyone maybe have plans?
