Pee Wee .020

Pee Wee .020
I have a few Pee Wee .020. Before I bought them they previous owner drilled the tank and put hose direcetly to the intake inside the tank. I was curious if the rpm or performance is better or worse for this application over tank suction/ operation?
Thanks
Darren

Re: Pee Wee .020
I've never done it, but I imagine as long as the external tank setup was done correctly it would be the same. Perhaps even more reliable.

Re: Pee Wee .020
We did this with several Babe Bees in the late 60's for the purpose of getting more run time from an external tank, but I can't remember if any of us did it with an .020. I have used converted backplates from Cox's .020 Free Flight helicopters, and the engine pulled fuel just fine, with no noticeable change one way or the other.
The builder of this Midwest Sniffer Free Flight model used that technique to allow a precise measurement of the engine's fuel supply with an Eye-dropper body for a tank:

I did it long ago. It seemed to have the same power, and ran fine.

When you upload after reading that picture posting thread, be sure to click "Resize," and set it for 640px for any pictures wider than that. And click "No" for any pictures already smaller than 640pixels . That way they will fit on most people's browser pages and not distort the smaller ones too.

Re: Pee Wee .020
Hey Darren,
The procedure for posting photo's is in the forum's archives somewhere, but here is a quick run-down on how I do it:
When you hit Reply or New Topic, you'll get a toolbar under the space for title, click on the first icon of the fifth bunch.
Click on the "serving" part of the title, and you'll get a new tab and a page prompting you to enter your Email and password (you'll need to register first).
Once in, click browse, and add your photo...to help fit it on the page you can resize it to 640 px. Click on host, then copy the image code and paste it to your post.
Don't know if this will help, but thought I'd take a shot at it!
