Sweet mistake?
Had a few beers before sitting down at the computer about a week age. This is the result.

It is used but only slightly. Gave it a little wiping with denatured alcohol, new O ring, gaskets and head seal and oiled it. Looking forward to running it before putting it away.

Re: Sweet mistake?
You got one! You should be the first to upload a video of a running RR-1 to YouTube!
Re: Sweet mistake?
Is there bot already one by Reggie Jhonson?
But a video would be great. May I ask hoe much you got it for?

Re: Sweet mistake?
It was part of a four engine deal on ebay. I do not remember the exact amount but it was approximately $245.00 +/- $2.50. For that exorbitant amount I got the RR 1, a Tee Dee .09, a Tee Dee .051, a product engine, a tatone mount with the .051, a bunch of glow heads, a bunch of props and some other miscellaneous stuff. I think I over payed, but not by much. However, I never have to go to bed wondering what the difference is between a rear drum induction and read disc valve induction is for a Cox .049. Besides, the seller was an absolute joy to work with.

Re: Sweet mistake?
I think that is a good price and I would have payed that much for it.
At least you have a rare engine that most don't own next you need an nffs medallion .051 lol.

I think I have to wait for my now eleven year old daughter to graduate from college before I can afford one of those bad boys. I can still dream though.

Re: Sweet mistake?
An even rarer engine than the NFFS 051 is the rear rotary Cox Olympic 15 that was prototyped in the late 50's by Bill Atwood. This was the precurser to the TeeDee series.

OK but rarer than that is Mudhens pre-production tee dee .010 with a hand carved propeller by Bill Atwood.
Or the prototype pee wee .010 that was neve brought into production.
