Sin-Bot Flys !!! Again...Sort Of....
After several tentative aerial forays, my combination Berkley "Sinbad" / "Zaic-Wing / Bird of Time" "Sin-Bot" has once again taken to the skys...much to the entertainment of my landlord and his sons who are working while I play!!!
Thanks to a couple of cranky .020's, it's flights have been far too white-knuckled to bother with such trivial pursuits as photo/video stuff. But now, the .020...juiced up on some fresh Sig 35%....shows at least SOME interest in running long enough to get Sin-Bot above the cedar tree and power-lines that always add a thrill to my hobby. Also, another chunk of lead in it's snout appears to have done no harm either...
I've always like the looks of the Sinbad Sailplanes, and think the somewhat bird-like Zaic wing adds to their classic appearance.
It IS definitely a calm-weather flyer...at least 'till I get it sorted out...so the next photos/video will probably be in a more evening setting. The thermals are obviously popping around the hill, but I only seemed to find their turbulence and not their cores.
I was hoofing pretty hard to get this done and it's photos entered in the "Engine of the Month" contest, but ran out of time, so you all pretend you didn't see it, and I'll enter it next time !

Speaking of building, I picked up a Stagger Bee new in the box... although I have no idea when I'll get time to build it, but I do have a RC .15 Med that may fit really well.
