MY COX GAS VAN............RC ON THE WAY!!
Got this van recently and I decided to go all out and make it RC ...the van looks cool and should look like a champ burning up the pavement!!
This is what I have done so far
made steering with servo and servo saver with ball end links and added new back plate with carb and also took all the extra moving worm gears and stuff out so she runs better.
I think she's coming along nicely!

Your conversion looks good.
I am going to have to try one of Bernie's throttles on one of my GTP Nissans I have and see how it compares to the Maples throttle and the exhaust ring throttle. Will have to make a custom backplate for it to work if there is enough room.

Maples throttle was an exhaust collector ring and the exhaust gas was routed through a slide valve to restrict the exhaust. Some exhaust gas was also routed back to the intake in the intake stack on the rear. Connected with large silicone tubing.
