Patton Street Pirate Pilots Update 11-20-13
An Update from Allen:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Patton Street Pirate Pilots met again today. We had decent weather for the 4pm plus 45 minutes time frame.
Spencer and TJ Hubbard and Mary Sherrod received their Ambush models back with the controls and the engine installed. I received two more to complete today and they will get them back next Tuesday.
With the help of Charlie Reeves I have built a dozen handles and those handles will include their own safety thong and enough connecting material to get them in the air.
The pilots flying are Cole with the cowboy hat, Timmy with the red jacket, Matthew and sister Mary.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Front row is Mary, Samuel, Azlynn, TJ and Matthew while in the back row is Cole, Blake, Spencer and Timmy.

Ambush II on the left and Ambush I on the right with TJ, Mary and Spencer’s Ambush.

Timmy above

Matthew above

Mary above
Thanks to everyone for supporting this group. When all have their controls on and engines installed I will give them their own handle with lines and a safety thong.

Re: "Patton Steet Pirate Pilots": Update 12-13-13
A short update from Allen...sounds like his Pirate Pilots are methodically working their way toward their goals !!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I have four more Ambush's ready with the exception of one pushrod. I have more pushrods on order and they should be here this week. One pilot hopefully will have his painted and ready for me to attach his engine and controls so his also is ready to go as soon as weather clears. We have about 6 to 8 inches of snow and thirty degrees F temps at the moment. Our plans are to have an indoor meeting (which was planned) for this coming Tuesday.

Re: "Patton Steet Pirate Pilots": Update 12-13-13
Forgot to post these notes, and thought I'd just paste both in case any of you might like to keep track of the Pirate Pilots' adventures on Allen's Facebook Page, and also check on any of their supply needs. I will, of course, continue to post they achievements here also!!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When I get help, I work to get them on my email group listing of Patton
Street Pirate Pilots to let them know how I am using their gifts. Ask any
of them to be my friend on Facebook as I attempt to keep the site aware of
what we are doing. Due to snow, etc, we will not be meeting tonight.

Yo Allen!
I got this note from Ken Cook on the Cox Collectors Forum, and told him I'd
forward it to you. There have been some other members offer assistance too,
and I'm sorry that I forgot to forward them. I will do so from now on.
Great work with the Pirate Pilots !!!

Sad news about Allen...I hope the Patton Street Pirates continue on with their building and flying! This was a neat thing Allen did for modelling. He will be missed!
