Re: Check out this "Cox Baby Bee 049 with Extra big Tank"!
if we're at supersized engines, it woul be interesting to see if one could make an inline 4 out of normal crank cases, maybe cutting the
bearing off and putting some adapter in between them...i'm sure someone has done it.

Yes there is an online 4 on YouTube I think it was made in that way.
Re: Check out this "Cox Baby Bee 049 with Extra big Tank"!

Oh my bad it would be interesting to try in the method you suggested.
Re: Check out this "Cox Baby Bee 049 with Extra big Tank"!
its still pretty cool, but the guy who built it won't post any info about it. i think the channel has been abandoned.

Re: Check out this "Cox Baby Bee 049 with Extra big Tank"!
It frustrates me so much when that happens.
Re: Check out this "Cox Baby Bee 049 with Extra big Tank"!
yeah, the same happened with a popular channel named bomberguy, who had lots of great footage about
old airplanes- awesome stuff, but people always started flame wars about political issues and other sorts of crap, so he
first deactivated the comments sections and then left the channel for good. some videos contain probably the only footage left of
some of these planes, like the experimental german flying wing, the gothaer go-22. a frightening, but beautiful jet bober, who's
technology was highly advanced. when the americans found the production site, they were scared by these planes,
they were supposed to have stealth capabilitys, at least that's what i've heard.
whoops, got a little carried away, i guess

I see two immediate problems: 1-You would probably break off the mounting lugs on that plastic backplate first time you flipped the prop, and 2-You would need a ****load of tail weight on the plane.

I think it would break in half as soon as you filled it up.gcb wrote:Admin wrote:I knew I still had this picture, someone sent me this picture a few years ago...

My idea of gluing the wings and tail right to the goofy thing would solve that. You could screw two of them back to back. It would be twice as long, and use the back one as a pusher.gcb wrote:I see two immediate problems: 1-You would probably break off the mounting lugs on that plastic backplate first time you flipped the prop, and 2-You would need a ****load of tail weight on the plane.

You would need to separate them enough to allow for the air intakes, otherwise it would be like that old joke about the meanest animal in the world having an alligator head on one end and a crocodile head on the other.RknRusty wrote: You could screw two of them back to back. The alligator crocodile would be an interesting push pull model imagine an rc version, if I ever get bored (it rarely happens) I will draw one up an many build a small scale electric version.gcb wrote:You would need to separate them enough to allow for the air intakes, otherwise it would be like that old joke about the meanest animal in the world having an alligator head on one end and a crocodile head on the other.RknRusty wrote: You could screw two of them back to back. back to one of our most fun topics, check this out:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cox-Baby-Bee-049-Glow-Engine-Extended-Tank-/320762244876?pt=Radio_Control_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4aaeeb6f0c
ain't that an engineering feat or what? it is a true non stunt tank, doesn't seem to be a texaco with the red removed...
i think its homemade

I'm not sure who gave you a "-" but it is actually not rare or homemade. I have a few of them. For some reason right now, i can't think of what engine that tank came on but I do know you could buy the plain 8cc kits.

I'm not sure. It really doesn't matter, you do have enough.
Re: Check out this "Cox Baby Bee 049 with Extra big Tank"!
Where do y'all see a minus?
