Ringmaster Flyathon!!!!!!!!!!!!

Post  duke.johnson on Sat Oct 05, 2013 11:12 pm

Day one of the Ringmaster Flyathon was GREAT!. I even pulled in a few old C/L guys that have been flying R/C. They had a great time and said they had forgotten how much fun it was.

My son's S-1

My two year old nephew getting another C/L lesson ( I can see it now, Uncle of the Year! )

And here's an 'Uncle Sam' Ringmaster

More later.

Great Duke! I plan to get out today. Yesterday was a bust due to weather.

Oh No!  I thought it was next weekend.  The In-Laws dropped in unannounced Thursday night, and I've been entertaining them.  I work today.  Maybe this evening I can get a flight in with one of the Ringmasters before the Fly-A-Thon ends.

Saturday 3 non-launches of my PT bipe. Baby Bee ran great (MUCH better than my TeeDee's in fact), but 8 ft of plywood is not long enough to get airspeed.

Then the sky opened and the rain fell.

I'll try again on the parking lot at the school sometime soon.

Well, I didn't get home 'till well after dark.  I did try, though.  On a work break, I drove home to grab a plane and fly at the local school ballfield, but there was no one home to launch for me, as I don't have a stooge to use at the ball diamond.  Neutral
