Finally...War Dog and Stunt Trainer Get Some More Attention !
At last, got the time AND the mood to get back onto working on my War Dog-powered, Scientific/BHM "Stunt Trainer"!
Now, if I could just find War Dog !!!! Durn foggy brain...

Noticing that the built-up body could accommodate and internal bellcrank, I moved it inside, for a more "Big Boy Appearance". Of course, this caused a little more work and figuring, but maybe it'll be worth the trouble...

Some say building is therapeutic, I guess it can be for the airplane as well.

Oh yeah, this stuff is great when everything comes together! Such a good day in fact, that I even let Patrick come up for a while to fly his Dewey Bird and Warhawk out in the front yard.
Somehow, and thankfully, the 20+ mph winds I was promised never materialized. They can usually hit the wind predictions pretty square...but not this time.
I had my Super-Looping Super PT-19 out, and had a great time doing grass-clipping pull-outs...

All-in-All...A Pretty Righteous day !!!

Hello,
This airplane is cute. I found the Stunt trainer plan on the web, but can you tell me what the wingspan length and the stab size ?
Thank you,
Rémy

Re: Finally...War Dog and Stunt Trainer Get Some More Attention !
Hey Remy!
Here we go:
Stunt Trainer's Wing Span is 21" It's a constant cord of 4 1/2 inches at it's center, and starts to taper at 6" (3" either side of center). At this point, it evenly (leading and trailing edges) tapers to 4" at the tips.
The Stabilizer is 9" in span, with a constant cord of 1 3/4" for 2", where it tapers to 1 3/4 " at the tip.
The elevator is 1" at its center, mirroring the stab's taper to 3/4" at it's tip.
Hope this makes some sense...please let me know because, in the morning, EVERYTHING can seem confusing to me !!!
