Note to self. The Thunder Tiger .25 is way too much motor for the Acromaster on 50' lines. I think I'm still dizzy. Still, felt good to get in some air time after a quarter century. There was a pretty stiff breeze that snuck in once in the air but I think the extra horsepower helped.

Flew nice and level.

Glad it went well

Go big or go home!  lol!

Seriously though that .25 is pretty powerful for that little airframe. Good for you!

It's an RC motor that was given to me. Same with the plane. I just put them together to get back in the air. I'm REALLY looking forward to getting my 1/2a planes in the air. But the wind has other ideas.

Well, mission accomplished!

Find a Fox .15 and bolt it on the nose. You and the plane will be much happier. The Akromaster makes a good trainer so I hear.

I usually won't mess with 1/2A with winds over 10mph. Hope you can get some calm days soon. Here in OK mornings and afternoons are the best time to fly the wee ones.

I had trouble taming the TT Pro .25 that's on my 33 ounce Shoestring with 60' lines. I bet you did have your hands full. I finally stacked a pile of head shims in it and it was still pretty quick when it ran lean.

Well, it has a throttle don't it?

Seriously though a .10 or .15 is what you should have on it.

HAHA. I thought of that as I was stumbling back to the box. I may put my Gilbert AF .11 on it.
