"O" ring wheels

"O" ring wheels
Because I have a few small electric motors - my preference is to use a prop saver on these. I invariably manage to lose the "o" ring after the propeller has plopped off.
I found that if you buy "o" rings from a "specialist" model store or an "o" ring designated for a prop saver through Fleabay - they are expensive - £1 for three.
However, wander down to the plumbers merchant and get a big bos with a variety of sizes for £5.
Trouble is - there are far too many large ones that I would never use.
Then while perusing the CEF Speed Contest forum - I saw what Roddie had done
and thought that's easy and another of his good ideas. I have hundreds of "o" rings.
So, a few minutes design and printing "et voila"

Thise are kinda like the wheels that they use on the GWS slow stick. Nice and a good use of on hand parts. Do you have the STL for the wheels?

Re: "O" ring wheels
Ian... I LIKE those wheels! I'll bet that the O-ring tire stretches onto the rim.. nice and tight too! Now you can make pairs of different sizes.. and tailwheels too!
Please see my question in your 3-D printing thread. Thanks,
Roddie
