Re: Promote the forum with flyers!
I submitted it to our C/L club's newsletter. It will come out in the next issue and be e-mailed to about 50 people.

Re: Promote the forum with flyers!
Cool, I still need to go post a copy up at the Hobby Shop. They'll probably say "no" since you have to ask them if you can post things.
Re: Promote the forum with flyers!
I should take one to my LHS, too. I should have better luck with mine, I've been able to get a few of them interested in CL again. I've talked to a few others about getting a 1/2A circle in.

Re: Promote the forum with flyers!
(bump) anyone having printed CEF flyers; a little "preparation" before posting.. goes a long way. Cut the tear tabs with scissors beforehand, grab some thumb tacks and stuff them in a clear bag to keep in your vehicle. I happened to have a "tracing wheel" that I used over a pc. of poster-board to perforate the tear-tabs, so that the flyer would stay looking neat as people pulled the tabs off.. (wishful thinking!)

Admin wrote:So, where have you posted flyers so far?
I posted 2 today... both on cork-style community boards. One was at the local supermarket a mile down the road.. and another at a Bar called "Gator's Pub".. which is just around the corner! I would have posted one at the town public library... but they had closed 15 min. before I got there.
Here's photos from Gator's Pub
(I saved em' right side up)
Re: Promote the forum with flyers!
Got some action in N. Smithfield, RI at "Brigido's" IGA Supermarket. In less than a week, 2 tags taken!
Re: Promote the forum with flyers!
More public interest in the CEF Flyer!... this time at Gator's Pub. I checked in today to find 5 tags pulled off. That's a total of 7 tags at 2 different locations in less than 10 days. Who knows how many QR code-scans there's been.
Anyone else been posting flyers?

Re: Promote the forum with flyers!
Today, I left a flyer at Syracom, one of the bigger model shops in the north-west with web site an on-line selling. The owner was interested and told me he would have a look on CEF. He definitely knows people who showed already some interest in Cox engines.

Re: Promote the forum with flyers!
I'm sorry I see I didn't get the QR code one added next to the ones to download, I'll get that added later.
for new CEF members within the last 4 months
I'm just "bumping" this thread for the benefit of our new members. The forum administrator created this document, for any of us wishing to post it locally.. in an attempt to attract some interest/awareness of what we do here at CEF. Community-boards at the local market, public library or your favorite hobby shop are great places to post it.

Is there a PDF of the promo poster someone could send me?

They can be downloaded HERE!
I thought the QR code ones were up this entire time but I just noticed the page didn't get saved. They're up now though!

Thanks Kim. I'm trying to remember to bump this thread monthly.. because I really appreciate the effort on Jacob's part in creating the flyer. It would be interesting to know if any of the flyers that have been posted.. have drawn any new people to the forum yet?
Re: Promote the forum with flyers!
I'll take some to Huntersville. Now I finally have a printer that the color works.

Eric, there's nothing at all "hair-brained" about that. This is a GREAT forum.. and the more modelers that know about us.. the better!
