Never did like that blue color paint. I guess because I grew up with FP series.

Re: OS 10 & OS 40 LA
I haven't got any la engines. But the la.25 on Waynes Flite Streak is a rocket. I love my fp engines. My fp.25 will be in the air very soon and will be my next contest engine. I just got a shiny new CL NVA for it. If anyone needs the carb that came off of it, let me know, it's yours.

Re: OS 10 & OS 40 LA
I use the LA 25 exclusively for speed limit combat. Many are using the LA .40 as well. A .40 is the maximum size allowed in speed limit combat. The LA.40 can typically be found at swaps for less than 1/2 what they sold for new. The engine got a bad rap early on due to the liner changes. I have 2 of them which I couldn't be happier with. Extremely easy to use and reliable. I don't care for the remote needles as I found them to be too coarse in thread and the needle's taper not fine enough for peak performance, but that's an easy remedy to fix. The plastic backplates received a lot of thumbs down in regards to engine run and quality. I seal them with anaerobic Permatex and use washers under the screw heads. What I do see happening and I feel it's going to happen quickly is that OS is going to discontinue the LA line of engines. So far the .40, .10, the LA-S .15, LA .65 have gone to the discontinued list. Surprisingly the LA .15 r/c version has been in the line up but I see that being the next on the chopping block. Electrics have filled the niche for these small engines. The LA .46 makes a beautiful stunt engine for control line but lacks in performance for a r/c engine compared to the other .46's available. I just don't see the LA line continuing.
