Re: Cox Super Power Fuel
Well done! Thanks Dave. And thanks Hobbico. I will spread the word wherever I can. Maybe I'll actually be able to buy it at a local hobby shop now. Millions of Bees and Tee Dees will avoid an untimely death now.
Since the COXP1005 number is still being used, I presume the old formula will no longer be made. I'm looking forward to putting Hobbico at the top of my list when I need parts and supplies.

Re: Cox Super Power Fuel
My lhs has a big Hobbico sign in the window, so a few weeks
ago I talked-up the new fuel. This store is the typical rtf and
leeky/gas car operation. Not much for me there. The guy I
spoke with said the store isn't a Hobbico dealer per say, but
his distributor is, and he can order anything Hobbico sells.
Then he starts to talk about minimum quantities and shipping
fees. Pfft.
Soooo, I'm also hoping Bernie and Matt will be able to sell the new
fuel. Then again, maybe Hobbico's website may be the way to go
if they don't.

Re: Cox Super Power Fuel
I'm pretty sure my favorite eBay store, omnimodels is a Hobbico dealer. Most of their stuff ships for $1.99. That's as good as a drive across town for me. But if Bernie or Matt sell it, I'll get it there too. I don't do as much 1/2A now days so I don't give them as much support as I used to.dckrsn wrote:My lhs has a big Hobbico sign in the window, so a few weeks

Re: Cox Super Power Fuel
Thanks, Dave, this is good to know. Something did appear to be amiss as photo shows the new bottle and behold, it states the new oil content. I'm glad you folks are providing an alternative, which makes it worthwhile to order. (I live rurally, about 95 miles from hobby stores in Lubbock & Amarillo, Texas and Roswell, NM; and 212 miles from Albuquerque, NM. Thus mail order is sometimes the best option.)Kruzn wrote:Updated webpage: http://www.coxmodels.com/index.html Tower site will be updated soon.

Cool! I’m now an internationally known Test and Quality Assurance Specialist! Hooah!
I’m driving past my local hobby shop today. I’ll stop in and ask them to order a couple of bottles of each nitro content.

Rusty -I found it on the OmniModels.com web site under fuels.1/2a general. Picture shows the NEW bottle, description describes the old formula??? So, I'm not sure what
You'd get if you ordered, but I'd think one call to customer service to specify what you want is what they'll ship. ( oops my bad, the description DOES state 10 percent castor)
THoughts that make you go "HMMM???: Hobbico Dave says the fuel is in stock in the Champaign warehouse, OmniModels is located in Champaign, HHMMM..... I bet they can obtain quickly, if they don't have it in stock!!

EDIT: Okay I see now. I was searching the Omni eBay store. You have to go to the Omnimodels.com main store. http://www3.omnimodels.com/cgi-bin/woi0093p?C=PEK&P=1
They have the 25% so far, not the 35% yet. Can't tell what the shipping is but probably more than their usual $1.99 since it can't go by air.

Re: Cox Super Power Fuel
Tower is listing both,
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXEYHA&P=0
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXDBNH&P=0
Four Qts is free ship plus there is an 8$ discount on the main page. So 1 gal would be 52$, 13$ Qt

I just checked the Omnimodels website, formula description is now correct for both the 25% and 35% nitro.

No, I expect it's about the same quality. That is pretty pricey for single quarts unless the shipping is really low. If I can get it from a hobby shop for $15, it's cheaper than ordering it from Sig. Next time I need a quart I'll see if my local Hobbytown USA will get it for me. I've got most of a quart of Sig 35, so it's going to be a while.getback wrote:I see the fuel is $5 a QT.
