The only plane that pops up is Walt Hughes' "Little Missle". That plan shows the McCoy .098 in it.

The landing gear consists of a "belly wheel". Per OTS rules you can extend it to get ground clearance but it is supposed to be in the same position, I believe. The plane itself is a swept wing with twin rudders.  Tom Dixon has plans.

Hi Eric, I couldn't find a plan for this.. but Brodak has the kit. It's the "Circus Prince".. a 26.75" span profile stunter for .09/.25 glow power. It features a built-up wing with laser-cut ribs and 1/2" fuse. Personally.. I think it's a bit small for a .25  Shocked  but if you've got other .09's or .15's... it gives you some options for different power combos to mess with.

Eric, Look at the Rascal drawing again. You can see the separate rib profile which is also the same in the side-view.. so that's all you'd need to go by. They're all the same size by the looks of it. If the plan is full-size.. just trace it and make a template.

PM me your E-mail address and I'll E-mail it to you.

Roddie's reply came in while I was typing this and is spot on. Rascal rib pattern is shown below the right wing tip. All ribs are the same, trim W1 to fit 1/16" plank at wing root. You can eliminate the leadout holes for the right side wing ribs. Ribs are 1/16" sheet. Trailing edge is very simple, of 1/8" sheet balsa. You just round the back side and that's it.

If you can't download a copy, PM me and I'll E-mail it to you.

DON'T try to fly the Circus Prince with that McCoy 0.09.

It will be terribly underpowered; at least that's what I found when I tried to fly mine with the Fox "Rocket 0.09".

Installing the Fox "15" really woke this plane up (same mounting bolt pattern as the 0.09) and "PDQ" suggested that it would be a rocket with a 29.

But not an 0.09.

Eric, here's an engine test on your engine, also known as the 1950 Duromatic McCoy "9".

http://www.sceptreflight.net/Model%20Engine%20Tests/McCoy%209.html

Doesn't give horsepower figures, but they got between 11,000 to 12,000 RPM depended on which 7x4 prop make and fuel used. Tests were done without proper break in.

The Debolt All American at 140 square inches wing area is a perfect match, as it lists the McCoy "9" on the plans.

I looked at the specs on the Circus Prince, it has 200 square inches wing area, wow! Shocked No wonder why it flies well on a Fox .15 Cool That is the same wing area as my 30" wingspan Ringmaster Jr.  Smile

I love the Outer-zone web site, i was on it last night for a while. I also agree with the All-American, cool little plane, classic design, would be an easy build and should fly great!

Eric, yesterday I E-mailed you the plan, plus PDF printout of the Outerzone description page and a tiled version for 8-1/2 x 11 paper. Did you receive it? - George

Please check your E-mail's spam folder. It may be there.

Post Note: I re-sent the E-mail with this time only the All American plan attached. Previously I had a PDF printout of the Outerzone description page and a tiled printout for standard printer paper. Eric, please let me know if you received this, and please check your spam folder if you don't see it. Also, the plan on my computer is very clear, provides a very clear printout, so it looks like something may be borked on your computer. - George
