This is an OS Max .25
I need an OS 1A needle valve assembly to use for a bladder feed on my Shoestring's TT .25 Pro. Is this it?

Here's the engine. It has a strap-on muffler too.

Rusty, most of the OS needle valves all look the same. If you remove the carb, it sometimes has the number stamped on the carb casting itself. I'm not saying it is or isn't, but the #1A is usually associated with the smaller engines like the .10 and .15. It might still do the job but I can say from experience, the #2A while looking similar has a slightly different appearance in the knob and a different thread. That's where the importance becomes a factor. The #2A becomes very touchy on needle settings. The knob on the engine you show does indeed look like the #1A. Ken

Rusty Tower has them for $10.00. I use these almost exclusively. They are a bit more economical than Tigers and work well. If you want to do some horse trading I am looking for a 1 pair of aluminum mounts for a Norvel. I would swap you a NVA for a pair of mounts if you have some you would be willing to part with.  Ken is right about the 2A- too touchy. I have used the 1A on .25's to .40's with good results. http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCR44&P=ML

Rusty if you go to Stunt Hanger and search for a thread titled "My first combat ship" by Marcus Corderio I posted some pics of a mod to the 1a needle that gives you a longer taper and finer adjustment. Its really easy to do and I think improves the needle.

Exactly Ken. I do have 1 set of Larry's mounts, I should have bought more as they are no longer available. I need only 1 set. I was able to get 6 older style 1/2A foamies from Mack Henry. I have 5 or 6 Norvels as well. My idea was to set up 2 Norvels for these airplanes and use them for fun matches with some of my local flying buddies. Maybe I can get one of them to come to the dark side! lol BTW I stole your idea of using bowling ball inserts for finger guards. I bought a dozen. Thanks!

Mike, I have two pairs of mounts that Howard gave me. A purple and a blue set. I don't know if the colors mean anything about what they fit. I misplaced the blue set, but they're they're just in a drawer somewhere. I'll find them, and if either pair is what you need, I'll mail them to you. My purple ones fit my Norvel AMD mounts but didn't go straight onto the Gladiator's nose so I'm not using them, and just bolted the engine to the beams. Thanks for the reply. I have an OS #1 in my shopping cart already, so I know where to get it if we don't make a trade. I appreciate the offer though.
Rusty
