I LOVE this forum.. and there's a TON of info that I've saved to my PC. My desktop has a CEF folder that I've backed-up before.. but it's currently at 2.5GB (760 folders.. and 5980 files..)

For the small $$ cost of a compact USB drive.. you can copy/paste your precious files in the event of the unthinkable.. Think about it....

I do. 2:00AM every Monday morning I schedule it to back a full image of my system. Takes about 4 hours. I just put a regular 320 Gb HD in a Rocketfish enclosure that converts it to USB.

I use Acronis True Image Home backup software.
Here's the Rocketfish. You put any PC type HD inside.

I am too disorganized to schedule regular backups and leave my machines switched on over night. So I have a centralized storage unit and use Seagate Dashboard and Backup software.

As soon as I upload or change a file on any of my machines, it is backed up almost instantly. There is a disadvantage in that when I upload photographs, I have to wait to view/edit them until the backup is complete.

The advantage is that everything is backed up automatically from all my machines.

I also use Dropbox for my photographs as that gives a convenient way to share them.
