Beauty and the beast
One cleaned up nicely, one more to go.

Clean one has/had major wing damage.

Working on a fix.

I used a metal piece contoured to the wings shape and used plastic cement to hold it in place. Worked well.

Now to put it all back together.

This Day Fighter/Airacobra/King Cobra is different from my others. No belly pan, eject able pilot, control line/pilot instructions printed in relief on the underside of the wing and the main landing gear sits on the wing not inside the fuselage.

I like those. I never knew there were so many different Cox models. Will you fly any of them? If I could have any Cox model other than the Stuka and Mustang, I'd love to have a Hyper Viper. There's a guy who comes to the Huntersville contests with a 60 sized stunter in the Hyper Viper color scheme.

Nice repair job there Bob , That white really came out in the wash. Wonder if they were experimenting with the design or maybe its a prototype
?

Hey Bob, just digging up an old thread of yours here. I may be able to get hold of one of these models which is complete apart from the canopy & pilot. I suspect it may have had the ejector seat which has ejected way back. If I do manage to acquire it I'd be interested in some hints on cleaning it up and whether you have any thoughts on where I can get a canopy.
