Medallion .09

My EBay purchased Medallion .09 arrived today, basically it's in pretty fair condition, clean and turns over with quite a bit of compression, so I'm hopeful.
However, as you will see from the picture, some idiot has had pliers on the propdriver!

Two questions....1. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement propdriver?
and 2. Can anyone tell me how I remove the existing driver and fit a new one? (If I can find one, that is)

I've looked on everyone's shop site, but no joy

Edit: Just had the engine running, runs very well and started first time, but I now find that I'm missing the little "C" clip that holds the spraybar in, anyone know where I can get one?

The tee fee ones fit but I don't know if they would look right.

Thanks folks, I've just found that EX Model Engines has both bits in stock! Should have looked there first.

Yep, engine runs great! Started first try, but I was running it on an 8 x 6 which was way out of balance but was the only vaguely suitable prop I had to hand, of course it was viabrating pretty bad so I only let the engine run for a short time, just need to tart it up a bit now with a new propdriver.

I've been considering that Gamine plan you offered, but I really mustn't start anything else until I have the three models I have 1/2 finished done! Then I must have about 50 plans for models that I want to build lined up after that! I don't think I'd better add to that!

Good idea, but nearly all my plans are downloads from RC Groups plans thread.

Now I've found the 09 bits I must put a new request on here to see if anyone knows how to remove & refit the propdriver, 'cause I'm damned if I do!

Put the prop screw in by itself then tap the screw genlty with a hammer of mallet until it disengages from the crankshaft.

I find that thrust washers (correct name) come off with a light tap on the end of the crankshaft with the thrust washer holding the engine about the work surface.

To seat a new thrust washer, apply it to the crankshaft, intall a prop and prop nut then tighten the prop nut securely.

Both the crank and the thrust washer are splined to mate together.

There is more than one correct name for it.
It has been called:drive plate,thrust washer and many other things by different people.
What i call a thrust washer is what norvels have where it is not actually fixed to the shaft and when the prop is not on it is lose.

The engine is question is a Cox and Cox calls that part a thrust washer.

Fellows, fellows, stop arguing, you are talking about two different parts! The thrust washer goes BETWEEN the propdriver (driveplate) and the nose of the crankcase, they aint the same animal!

The Medallion instructions say: To remove the drive plate, use the engine tool and unscrew the collett that secures the carb body and it will push off the plate. It works on a TD too.
