Cox PT-19 Trainer plane
I just picked up a new in box Cox PT-19 trainer plane at my local hobby shop.It is a later production plane that has a address for Cox Models in Penrose,CO and the box has made in China on it. Is this still a good quality product and when did Cox go to China for it's products?

I think they (Estes) acquired Cox around 1996 and I agree with balogh, your model is probably early Estes but as far as i know the Estes PT-19 was still a good model. (Bandit)David S wrote:Interesting.....When did Estes own them?balogh wrote:It must have been in the Estes times...

Thanks TDBandit,I was not aware of the Estes ownership or the move to China for production. The PT-19 looks to be of good quality. So I may fly it.TDbandit wrote:I think they (Estes) acquired Cox around 1996 and I agree with balogh, your model is probably early Estes but as far as i know the Estes PT-19 was still a good model.
