I lived in Ontario for 20yrs so I am allowed to poke a little.

I was in Vancouver for the first time last April. What a great city, can't wait to go back.

Correct, I have Canadian parents. I was the only U.S. born member of my family.

We are lucky here today, as I have the day off work... Plus here in the 'prairie' region, we have many good lakes, trails and fishing opportunities. Been all the way west with the exception of Vancouver Island, but have seen it from the little boat we went whale watching in I believe. And as for east, I recently had a very brief layover in Toronto in April. I do really like Kenora Ontario though. Beautiful little place. If anyone ever makes it out here this way, just let me know.

Well, HAPPY Can a DA, day to our nice neighbors to the north!  

The last time I went thru Canadian border, the inspectors searched our luggage, our car, interior, trunk, engine compartment and even removed the hubcaps.....under the guise of looking for " illegal Beef". Ha, ha, ha.  Came out clean, never been back.  I've got some real horror stories of people I've known who've gone fishing up there, and were lucky  to get home with their car and the clothes on their back.

Happy Canada Day...also kind regards to Bernie who supplies us with COX products from that great country..I have never been there but will fly over Canada on July 10th from Seattle to London on board a British Airways flight...will definitely wave from the plane window
