Which Engine On Baby Ringmaster
Hi all. Hoping to get to put up my Baby Ringmaster this weekend, just that I have to pick a powerplant for it. I have a couple of options.
1. Babe Bee with head modified for standard short plug. Runs, but not 100%. Keeps the Man-Win Trainer #1 out on 35 foot lines ok. Picture taken before being finished and flown.

2. Babe Bee with hole in tank for remote fuel tank, currently living on Man-Win Trainer #2. When this thing runs, it is scary at how she revs. But man does she go. Pulls its ship around on 35 foot heavy lines (unknown type string).

3. Product engine/Sure Start. Currently residing on a 1/2a Circlemaster. Runs well. Had some problems with it earlier in the year while bench running it, but that was corrected in an earlier topic. Just needs a new fuel line and tank is rebuilt. Same tank as that on Man-Win Trainer #2.

The only Ringmaster I have flown in the past is a Beginner Ringmaster with Black Widow. It was fast, and am not looking for that now. This model will only be flown by myself and nobody else. That is why I have the Man-Wins. And they are a hit. Many have tried and a few have been able to fly out a tank. It is always fun to watch someone else fly it. Anyways, just looking for your suggestions and opinions. Thank you.

Re: Which Engine On Baby Ringmaster
Which ever outboard tanked engine fits your weight needs. I wouldn't use a Babe Bee with a built on 5cc tank, because it's out of gas way before the captain extinguishes the fun light. I personally would use the Surestart because it's always going to be more reliable than a finicky tanked Bee setup.
Also, you can adjust your power by simply swapping cylinders, and the Surestart would be better for that because it probably has a wider venturi that can supply a high perf jug. Jmho.

It will be a parts assembled engine. I do not yet have it in my posession, but think the plane will be a screamer!
