Okay, bring it on! I’m ready for Travelling Engine II. Just finished my new plane, the Nibbler.
The fuselage is hard 1/8 balsa, the wing is 3/32, and the tail surfaces are hard 1/16. 3/32 ply for the firewall and 1/16 ply bellcrank and leadout guide. I sized the firewall for a .010 with the tank mount, but my only .010 has the mount for an external tank, so the firewall is a little oversized for the mounted engine. Well, not my only .010, but the other is N.I.B., and I’m not ready to mess it up yet.

7 inch length firewall back
1.45 ounces dry weight

Very cool Mark! I built the Black Hawk 1/2A Nobler for the first traveling engine.

Very cool, makes me want to get started one one. I'm looking for a design for my .010 which I'm not so reluctant to run now since I looked er over and even though it's never been run it had been out of the pack and the tank was once removed but had been re-attached but appeared to have been over tightened and noticed a hairline crack where it attaches to the crankcase so i got to find another tank bummer. Anyway another great model man!

We strongly prefer that the engine be used with its tank mount as we want to lower the change of anything breaking (the backplate to the tank is fragile), getting lost or prematurely wearing out by removing the tank to install the backplate. It looks like you have everything figured out but for anyone who is also working on an .010 flyer, here's the dimensions for the .010.

Ok Mark, Gotta ask. Your own design? I can't remember a "Nibbler". I like it. Hints of a WWII Navy fighter. Looks strong and well suited to the .010.

Sweet Looking Little plane! Mark , It's a really knock off of the Nobler , Looks like you added the wing tips to the straight edge ? came out good should bee a fast flyer at that weight ! Eric
