Re: My first cl flight!
I can't remember if Blackhawk supplied the tip weight, but I ended up installing three washers under the outboard tip rather than one. Also, the first one I built I miscalculated the lead-out guide position. The next one was further back and it flies better. Added a couple of washers behind the inboard engine mounts as well. These things are so light they develop very little inertia as they turn, so they need all the help they can get. You did well to keep it in the air with so little line tension.

Hey Greg, that really was a great flight, and on a plane that's hard to fly for any of us. I watched it this morning and just now got a chance to reply.
The videographer did a good job. That's how to film CL, keep the pilot at the bottom of the viewfinder and sweep back and forth to keep the plane in view. Even better than sweeping is to swivel the camera about the same point. That's easier to do with a tripod though. The editing was well done too. What editing program do you have? I want it!

Re: My first cl flight!
Sorry Greg, while it's a nice plane, I don't think we allow ties on this forum

A young gentleman always wears a tie, and an older gentleman never arises before 9am.
Greg...............Your pics are mirror image again...........Unless of course you are going to fly this one clockwise.

Re: My first cl flight!
Just kidding about the tie.
Hey, make sure you check the balance of that plane. Place a finger tip under each wing tip about 20mm back from the leading edge. Should hang pretty level. A little nose heavy is ok, but tail heavy will make it hard to control. It might loop beter, but you'll have to chase it around like the Bat.
