Thermal Hopper Crankshaft wanted

Thermal Hopper Crankshaft wanted
I was a proud owner of a brand new Thermal Hopper - dating back to before 1955- until today. The crank-pin broke when I simply flipped the prop over....I removed the backplate and saw the crank is made of a very thin material in the pin area so no wonder it broke.
Anyone has an idea where, apart from feebay (where it is not available), such a crankshaft could be found?

I don't know if you want to do this but I've seen a thermal hopper with the case shortened to accept a killer bee crankshaft.

Uhhhhhhh a but bizarre. ..I cannot see myself amputating the nose of an antique COX....but not a bad idea from technical point of view. Do the cranks have the same diameter? Thank you.

As far as I know they are the same. I would definitely to a test fit before I took the nose off the case.

That looks like a regular crankshaft with a prop hub fastener (Not sure that is the right word) screwed into the front. You should be able to unscrew the hub. Andy

Re: Thermal Hopper Crankshaft wanted
The early cranks don't fit, they're a smaller diameter. They're also kinda rare as they didn't survive crashes very well
