Paducah Aero Modelers' Fun-Fly

Post  Kim on Sun Sep 20, 2015 8:57 am

Yesterday, Beth and I ventured across a couple rivers to attend the Paducah Aero Modelers' Fun-Fly on the outskirts of Paducah, Kentucky.

Had a great time with these guys and gals, and Beth got treated to a wide variety of things that fly.

The sole control line model flying (winds up around 20 mph) was Charlie Reeves' 'Lark'.  I must be forgiven if the photos lean a bit disproportionately toward Charlies' beautiful stunter.  I was doing fine watching the 3-D antics and assorted R/C activity, but abandoned it all when Charlie started his engine....it's just the way it is.

A great day, provided by some hard-working club members:

While not a Fun-Fly attendee, this Stearman provided a free-of-charge fly-by on it's way to Paducah's airport:
