C/L FAQ for re-beginners?

C/L FAQ for re-beginners?
Guys, I'm starting on several C/L plane projects (reed speed, ringmaster), but have absolutely forgotten just about everything from my kid days of flying-by-wire.
I don't even know how to set up the lines at the handle anymore!
Is there a basic C/L info/starter FAQ on this forum, or at SH?
if not, we NEED ONE!!

The CL general file on
http://www.modelaircraft.org/
is a fair starting point.

Might be more reading than you want...

Yes, that's as good as any place to find your direction when getting kick started. They show and tell just about everything one needs to know and learn. That's where I learned how to use polycrylic and tissue to make a beautiful glass finish with a super light paint job; how to sleeve the wires through a bellcrank; you name it.batjac wrote:Here's a nice site with a bunch of tips on getting started and setting up, the AeroManiacs site:

Thanks guys
I guess I should be a little more diligent in my search before posting. There's a lot of good reading that you mentioned here!
I still stand by my suggestion that this knowledge is an excellent candidate for a stickie or a FAQ that would be easier to find and maybe organized into categories (flight set up, learning methods, etc.). To make it easier for new fliers to find and learn such important information can only help the cause.
