TD .020 backplate
Does anyone out there in .020land have a good way to seal the back-plate to the tank....Over the years ,I think I have tried most with very limited success...Tired of leaky fuel tanks.
Thanks,

Hi
I use red silicone around the rim of the tank.

Re: TD .020 backplate
Is it leaking around the center screw or from the edge where the paper gasket is?
The paper gaskets get petrified over the years. Replacing gasket with a new one might help.
Sometimes a hairline crack developes where the center screw is. Replacing the backplate is the only option. I haven't found a glue that sticks well to Delrin.

You can see the dry silicone around the screw and a bit on the edge of the tank:

Re: TD .020 backplate
A thinly cut O-ring from an appropriately sized piece of fuel tubing worked to seal the tank backplate screw on the World's Smallest Traveling Engine .010.
