Wondered that myself....figure if there's a big enough market, it could happen. I could see some kind of induction charger pad...park the plane and transmitter on it for a bit, then go.
Have to also wonder how long individual radio sets will exist before ALL models are RTF's with their own disposable radios built in. Plug, Play, and Chuck It in the Trash.

May have happened with a lot of them, but mine were patched, and wired and glued, and kept going 'till they started losing parts in flight...which, by the way...adds a whole new dynamic to the hobby!
I just about seized up when I came home from school to discover that my Uncle Wayne had chucked his battered PT-19 while I was away. It'd still be turning circles now if I could have gotten my hands on that old chunk of plastic!!!
