I am not sure of that engine. A baby Bee 0.49 ?

The whole body is made of metal, no plastic. Seems vintage. "Made in U.S.A" is stamped on the back of the tank.

Sorry for the photos ! And sorry for the clean of my computer keyboard ;-) Macro photo with flash light is cruel !

I thank you all !

Best regards from France

Hey there hikikomori89. Right you are, looks like a BabeBee, from
the very early 1970's. I'm basing that guess on the "W-element"
glow head, identified by the circular groove on the top fin.
I have too many of them Rolling Eyes , and that's a nice one.
Had no problem seeing the photos, by clicking the link.

Ok. Now on a serious note. From what I believe that you are asking, I think I have it.

Babe Bee is a .049 cubic inch displacement engine
Pee Wee is a .020 cubic inch displacement engine

Physically, there is also a size difference. If you have one of each on hand, it should be easy to distinguish them apart. I have never had a Pee Wee though, nor seen one, so my post here is based upon reading these differences online.

When trying to tell whether you're looking at a Pee Wee or a Babe Bee, the number one thing you look at is the glow head. The .020 glow head has a proportionally larger center contact than an .049 head. [I'll dig up some pictures].

If it's missing its head, then you have to look at the details a little closer (cylinder milling, backplate, crankcase neck, driveplate...).

I think the most noticeable difference is the size, it is easy to tell when they are next to each other. The Babe Bee is about the same size as the Black Widow I think you asked about earlier. Pee Wee is noticeably tiny, almost like a piece of jewellery if you are used to handling "ordinary size" model engines Smile Your engine looks like a Babe Bee.
