Help! Slow day on CEF redeaux or is it re-do....whatever

I do not do photos well.... lost the photo bug a long time ago

I used to be real into photography and had some of the best equipment you could get in the 80s~90s

Now just a  Samsung G5s and it sux IMO

A trip around the shop as I wait for dope to set/dry

This is Miss Sapherie a French Bull dog about 9 months old and NEVER leaves my side, one of four dogs: Opie a male Boston terrier, Addi a  Female Boston, and Kitty a female chihuahua rescue

Miss Sapherie lets me know when it is beer o'clock and likes the smell of dope (we paint outside)

Here is one of several work areas and my after noon libations and cigarSlow day on CEF redeaux or is it re-do....whatever 20160210

As we move around there are several work areas
Slow day on CEF redeaux or is it re-do....whatever 20160211

And some more building areas:

And the wood working areas:
Slow day on CEF redeaux or is it re-do....whatever 20160213

We will soon arrive at the nerve center but a few more shots:

a shot looking in from the front door:

and now where all this non sense "on line" crap is concocted:
Slow day on CEF redeaux or is it re-do....whatever 20160215

This trip into Fred's work shop/hanger is inside a 16x24 two story on site built barn style building, originally set for my wife's quilting crafting...she out grew the space so I built her a much bigger area in another out building----one of five on our 2.5 acres

three of the five out buildings are smaller sheds for lawn and yard equipment storage and repair

I also have a purpose built 14 x 32 lofted barn for my real wood working shop that is outfitted with cabinete/furniture grade machines mostly from Grizzly

Are you running those TD's on Gentleman's Jack? You might want to add a bit of castor to that mix

Too funny Ken

YES rarely, but occasionally a TeeDee fires with the assistance of a shot or two of Jack....for the operator....damned things can drive a man to distraction some days!

But I do try to be less inebriated when I start any 20K+ RPM engine.... old safety guy in me I guess...plus I still have all my fingers

Alcohol, castor, and some times an electric finger... who knows which engine has the most alcohol....grin

Bob you are observant... I have a fair bit of OCD and MUST clean the shop every time I re-start a project, but like all shops as we work gets messy and needs to be de-cluttered....some days this takes me all day to re-organizes the tools and supplies
coming into yard work season and I will need to spend time on the string trimmer and riding mower(s) sometimes the shops get neglected and then the de-clutter task is daunting

Fred, thanks for the nickle tour. Your shop is nice and bright. Mine is more like a cave. I've been talking about at least painting the ceiling white to get some reflective illumination. I like to keep everything in its place too, though no matter how hard I try it still seems cluttered. I want to make some tool holders instead of just punching holes in boxes and coffee cans, that would help. The best thing I ever did was build that 8x4 table back in 1980 when I was into drag racing my shade tree Camaro. I enjoy looking at all the little details hidden in pictures people post.

OCD? We call it CDO, because my son hates it when we get the letters out of order! lol! lol! lol! Just kidding. Just a joke.

I do love your shop. I've watched a TV program about tiny homes and told my wife I want on for just me in the backyard. Kinda like little rascals, no girls allowed. Building areas, recliner area, beer frig area, and ect.

Nice! Lots of space, that room is bigger than my so-called garage (about 19x11ft), good lighting, sturdy benches, armchair etc. I'm always up to a shop tour, virtual or otherwise Smile

My shop is still a work in (slow) progress, haven't actually built anything in it yet. In addition to my model plane stuff I'll need to fit my 2 Hondas there also, so it takes some organizing. I already have an armchair, not sure if I am going to bring a fridge or a computer there 'cos if I do, I might as well move in there permanently lol!

A shop tour is always good insipiration, thanks again for sharing!

I like the workshop tour - I am envious of such space, I only have two small areas but manage to spread myself around the house and use every room.

I treat all my work areas as "man caves". Entry only by invitation! Booked in advance! Do not disturb!

I have a workroom set aside for my bungalow in the North of England. Only a small room but I need to plan it carefully.

After seeing these pictures and watching Windy and Stunthanger videos - I reckon a large flat glass build table is a must. I can cut balsa bits on a tray balanced on my lap while drinking coffee, smoking a cigarette and watching TV.

Assembling a nice straight wing and fuselage is another matter.
